During Christmas Olivias was really Busy!
Olivia Castriota is a New York City based songwriter and powerhouse vocalist. Her music blends raspy rawness, smooth pop hooks and R&B swag, conjuring the likes of Bishop Briggs, Zara Larson and Amy Winehouse. Growing up in a small town in Pennsylvania, Olivia began writing songs in elementary school about the boys who broke her heart. Today, her lyrics are more personal and reflective as she tackles the complexities of the heart. “Feelings are my favorite and I love, love. The weird part is, I rarely write actual “love” songs but the second things go south, I have no problem writing an entire album about it. I love a cry your eyes out heartbreak song as much as I love a badass anthem,” says Olivia.
When Live For Live Music featured her video cover of Justin Bieber’s hit ‘Sorry,’ they called it “An Irresistibly Slinky R&B Gem” and said:
“This is the best thing you’ll hear all day, haters be damned”

To date, Olivia has performed at The Apollo Theater, MetLife Stadium, One World Trade Center, Paste Magazine, PVD FEST, ART ALL NIGHT (Trenton, NJ) , Sofar Sounds (38 shows and counting), Long Island Blues Warehouse Radio, National Cherry Blossom Festival DC, BronxNet TV, ABC 27, FOX 43, The Village Underground, Bowery Electric, MilkRiver, Arlene’s Grocery, Groove NYC and Long Island Summer Festival. Most recently, she released a powerhouse pop anthem “What Do You Stand For,” which is the first single off of her highly anticipated sophomore album “I Need a Minute” due out 2020.
